My Speech
Lawrence Area
School needs to have school pets. Each class should have a class pet so they
can train the pet to help you in each class. We could learn a lot about animals
and how to be responsible for them.
Let me tell you
a few reasons why school pets would be good. We could have a pet dog because
they can sniff out missing things, so we would never lose anything again. The
pets will help you and tidy the classroom by finding pencils under the couch
sandwiches in the corner. It is a good idea to have a class pet because they
will help you if you train them well.
There are several choices you could
have for the school pet. We could have one little puppy in each
classroom. That would really help the children who are afraid of dogs to become
used to them. You could have a cat in each class because they are cute and
soft. Cats would teach children to be gentle and kind. Or we could have a pet
mouse because they are cute and small. They would be easy to look after because
they live in cage.
Children would learn
how to be kind to an animal and how to take care of it. We would learn how much
food our pet needs and how often to feed it. We would learn how to bath our
animal and keep it clean. We would learn what exercise our pet needs and when
to let it outside. This would all be really good learning, especially for the
kids who don’t have pets at home.
We
should have a class pet because they are clever sometimes and they are
really cute. We could have a cute little puppy in each classroom or something
else. We could have a pet because they sniff things out like people’s missing
homework! We would learn how to take care of a pet and how to be kind. I
definitely think each class at Lawrence Area School should have a class pet.
